Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to establish internal processes ensuring high-quality production aligned with customer demand. You will drive continuous improvement, own project timelines, reduce cycle and cost, and lead lean initiatives across manufacturing teams to meet EHS, quality, and cost goals within budget.

The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading 5S, and developing training plans, while overseeing capital investments and process documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in manufacturing.
  • High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years in manufacturing.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex technical concepts in the function.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to drive lean initiatives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of gas turbine components.

Job Description Summary

This Lead Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products at the rate determined by customer demand. The ideal candidate will: Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, resolving technical/process issues, and driving lean initiatives. The candidate will lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, quality, production, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively problem solve and utilize creative thinking to support production
  • Lead improvement efforts across the cell for visual management, tooling, plant equipment, and safety/ergonomic solutions
  • Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics
  • Own execution of capital investments delivering desired outcomes on schedule & within budget
  • Provide technical leadership and support for training of operators across areas of expertise
  • Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality.
  • Work with cross-functional team to drive 5s, operational rigor/ rhythm / standard work, training plan, and ensure projects are prioritized to align with business needs
  • Drive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable cost
  • Develop strategies for new product introduction
  • Develop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process control
  • Support product qualifications as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing

OR

  • High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
