Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to establish internal processes ensuring safe, high-quality production aligned with customer demand. The role drives continuous improvement across product lines, owning timelines, reducing cycle times and costs, resolving technical issues, and leading lean initiatives with cross-functional teams to meet EHS, quality, and cost-savings goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Alternatively, 7+ years of manufacturing experience with HS diploma.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of gas turbine components.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively problem solve and utilize creative thinking to support production.
  • Lead improvement efforts across the cell for visual management, tooling, plant equipment, and safety/ergonomic solutions.
  • Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics.
  • Own execution of capital investments delivering desired outcomes on schedule & within budget.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for training of operators across areas of expertise.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality.
  • Work with cross-functional team to drive 5s, operational rigor/ rhythm / standard work, training plan, and ensure projects are prioritized to align with business needs.
  • Develop strategies for new product introduction
  • Develop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process control
  • Support product qualifications as needed

Job Description Summary

This Lead Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products at the rate determined by customer demand. The ideal candidate will: Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, resolving technical/process issues, and driving lean initiatives. The candidate will lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, quality, production, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing
OR
  • High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
