Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Wiring SME. This hybrid role can be based out of any Eaton location within the US, and will develop, validate, and deploy wiring processes for low- and medium-voltage switchgear serving data-center applications.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to establish safe, robust processes and lead NPI, DFx, process qualification, and continuous improvement, enabling plant teams to sustain daily execution and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years in manufacturing engineering developing and deploying processes.
• Minimum three years wiring assembly experience with wiring strategy.
• Experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical and PLM data integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize wiring methods, processes, and controls across product families.
• Define requirements for wire-processing equipment, tooling, and parameters.
• Lead automation and capital projects for wire cutting, stripping, and labeling.
• Partner with Product Engineering to translate design outputs into manufacturing data.
• Define production sequences, quality gates, and traceability in MES.
• Lead NPI activities: PFMEA, pilot builds, ramp-up, and production readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve yield, capability, reliability, and productivity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage changes and compliance.
