Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects from justification to installation and start-up. You will own scope, budget, and scheduling, coordinating vendors and production teams to bring new equipment and processes online.

You will work daily with production, maintenance, quality, purchasing, planning and other engineering functions to improve safety, quality, throughput and cost across the plant.

Qualifications

• Define and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Experience delivering capital projects in manufacturing.
• Comfortable on the production floor and able to communicate with operators, maintenance, vendors and leadership.
• Basic working knowledge of 3D modeling software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects for new equipment, assembly systems and processes from concept through installation, commissioning and start-up.
• Define project scope upfront and manage changes as the project develops.
• Build and own the project budget with cost estimates, justifications and tracking against plan.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule across multiple concurrent projects.
• Specify equipment requirements, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage vendors/contractors during installation.
• Work with production and maintenance to bring equipment to a like-new operating standard.
• Develop process documentation and train operators on new equipment.
• Support production day-to-day by troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
• Identify and deliver reductions in scrap, rework, and cycle time.
