Job summary

Metrowest Medical Center - Consolidated is seeking a Lead Mammography Technologist to oversee daily mammography operations at the 61 Lincoln Street Wellness Center, combining hands-on imaging with site leadership.

You will support the growth of the breast imaging program, uphold high clinical standards, and ensure timely, compassionate patient care while coordinating staff and workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Current ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3–5 years of mammography experience preferred.
• Prior lead, charge, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical operations oversight of mammography services; performs screening and diagnostic mammography per department standards, radiologist protocols, MQSA, ACR, and hospital policy.
• Ensures exams are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.
• Reviews daily schedules to confirm exam type, prior imaging availability, patient preparation, and workflow readiness.
• Works with radiologists to support diagnostic workups, additional views, biopsies, and same-day add-ons when appropriate.
• Maintains image quality standards and supports repeat reduction efforts.
• Ensures equipment is functioning properly and escalates service issues quickly.
