Qualifications

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory.
• Uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exerts judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements it using established protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Coordinates patient scheduling and workflow for Mammography Technologists.
• Provides clinical instruction and trains new staff; supports ongoing education and competency assessments.
• Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal mammography equipment function.
• Manages MQSA documentation to ensure program compliance.
• Completes assigned goals.
