Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual using two patient identifiers or by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass.
  • Consistently produces quality images within hospital guidelines, protocols, and department standards (i.e. patient safety, repeat rate, exam protocols, exam processing, and other quality metrics).
  • Accurately completes documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, exam labeling, computer entry, contrast orders, etc. Performs other clerical duties as necessary.
  • Maintains clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in inservice education and other continuing education activities. Participates in the training of departmental personnel and students.
  • Assists MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards.
  • Evaluates personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care. Prioritizes work according to urgency and resources. Responds effectively in emergency situations. May act as supervisor in absence of department supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 0.8 FTE Radiologic Technologist III or greater and must have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Must have license/certification in the Modality of the Section they are assigned to, upon hire
  • Must have satisfactorily completed formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school, upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire
