Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workload and contribute to department productivity targets (MVBR 95-102%).
  • Conform to Standard III for Radiologic Technologist and maintain QC/QI duties.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to achieve 95-98% uptime.
  • Maintain supplies and manage emergency supply requests (1-3 per year).
  • Interpret physician orders and correlate with patient procedures, ensuring accurate documentation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist, you will be a vital member of our imaging services team, directly impacting patient care through diagnostic imaging. This role involves operating cutting-edge radiologic equipment to capture precise clinical images as directed by physicians, ensuring adherence to established standards and practices. You'll contribute to a seamless patient experience in a direct patient care role.

Every day you will perform a broad range of imaging procedures, from patient positioning and transfers to utilizing advanced systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining sterile environments, ensuring equipment safety, and upholding patient privacy and comfort throughout all procedures. Your accurate record-keeping and clear communication to patients will be essential for successful outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will expertly interpret physician orders and correlate them with patient procedures, efficiently managing patient flow and documentation. Your ability to calmly and empathetically interact with a diverse patient population, explain procedures, and address concerns will be key. You will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks, from diagnostic imaging to information system operation, within a fast-paced hospital setting.

  • Coordinates workload, facilitates the flow of completed procedures, manages staffing levels, assigns priorities/responsibilities for designated shift in cooperation with clinical care areas, thereby contributing to the achievement of MVBR productivity targets between above 95-102% and no more than 2-4 formal complaints per year.
  • Conforms to requirements in Standard III for Radiologic Technologist.
  • Maintains and assigns QC/QI duties to staff, performs periodic audits of RIS reject analysis data base, processor quality control, processor cleaning and QC/QI projects. Measured by 95-98% compliance as determined by record/report review.
  • Assumes responsibility for implementing a training process of personnel assigned to shift. In emergency situations, assumes authority and acts responsibly on behalf of the Supervisor or Manager as necessary until relieved. Effectiveness measured by no more than 1-3
  • Assists the RadiologyImaging Supervisor with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, identifying problem areas, and suggests solutions resulting in an equipment uptime of 95-98%.
  • Maintains supply and stock levels so that no more than 1-3 emergency requests for supplies are made per year.
Job Requirements
  • Medical Radiographer (MRAD): CA.
  • California State Department of Health Service Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, within 90 Days.
