Qualifications

  • Massachusetts radiologic technologist license required.
  • Graduate of approved School of Radiology.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms with proper patient positioning.
  • Assigning tasks to technologists and training new staff.
  • Monitoring equipment, conducting quality assurance, and MQSA compliance.
  • Explaining procedures to patients and coordinating follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining patient records and reporting to the Mammography Supervisor.

Job Description

Lead Mammographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will operate specialized radiography equipment to assist in the safe and efficient diagnosis and assessment of patient conditions. Expand your knowledge while working in the Hoffman Breast Center. Use your expertise in Mammography to assist in providing quality care to our loyal patient base.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, positioning patients correctly for optimal image quality, and assisting with biopsies.
  • Assigning tasks to other technologists, providing guidance and training to new staff, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues within the department
  • Monitoring equipment functionality, performing quality assurance checks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (MQSA), and identifying potential quality issues
  • Explaining procedures to patients, addressing concerns, maintaining patient confidentiality, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, managing staff schedules, and reporting to the Mammography Supervisor.

This position will work a day shift from 8:00-4:30.

  • Prior leadership experience
  • Prior Epic experience

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Radiologic Technology and Mammography
  • Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license
  • Graduate of approved School of Radiology

Pay Range

$51.70 - $76.82

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
