Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and carpentry tasks across our facilities. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring safety and reliability of critical building systems and patient areas.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of general maintenance experience, with preference for healthcare environment experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years general maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and carpentry.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, plumbing, equipment, carpentry, and fire safety maintenance tasks by inspecting and repairing equipment.
• Inspects appliances and building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment; performs repairs as needed.
• Maintains daily logs and enters requests into Maximo; completes PM work orders on schedule.
• Ensures work areas are clean and safe; adheres to Wellstar Health System policies.
• Assists in coordinating department repairs with minimal impact on patient care.

Job Summary

This is skilled work in the maintenance repair and installation in buildings and assigned areas using equipment as required. Carries out duties both independently and as a team member on specific assigned projects. Ensures inspections of assigned zones are carried out and deficiencies are recorded and corrected in a timely manner. Coordinates department repairs with departments with the least impact on patient care. Assists in the development and training of Maintenance Technicians. Performs in a lead role on assigned projects. Ensures all paperwork is completed on time and correctly.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions

Performs electrical, plumbing, equipment, carpentry, and fire safety maintenance tasks by inspecting and repairing equipment as needed. Checks appliances for proper operation. Checks and repairs building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment. Complies with safety policies and procedures by attending OSHA required section safety meetings, attending annual safety updates, practicing safe work procedures, encouraging and promoting a safe working environment. Maintains and completes required paperwork by completing a daily log and entering all requests into Maximo. Completes routine and P.M. work orders timely and submits all work request daily tasks. Performs housekeeping duties in assigned areas such as maintaining a clean working environment in all mechanical and electrical closets. Ensures all work areas are left clean and free of debris at all times. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

• VSDL - Valid State Driver's License or GADL - Georgia Driver's License
