Job summary

Sherman Associates is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for Autumn Ridge in Brooklyn Park, MN. The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and skilled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

You will work on-site at a 366-unit affordable community, ensuring timely repairs and unit readiness. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing repairs, managing work orders within 24 hours, and supporting outside vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance education.
• 3-5 years of maintenance or related carpentry/construction experience, preferably in residential/commercial real estate.
• Boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Must provide own hand tools and have a valid driver's license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
• Respond to work orders and resolve resident requests within 24 hours.
• Prepare vacated units within 24 hours (5 days if needed) with painting, cleaning and repairs.
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment.
• Conduct hands-on repairs and upkeep; monitor property cleanliness and order.
