Job summary

ICU Medical in Southington, CT is seeking an experienced maintenance technician responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on complex production equipment. The role works 1st shift, Monday–Friday, on site at the Southington facility.

You will troubleshoot, document modifications, mentor less experienced technicians, and collaborate with the production team to optimize efficiency and yield while complying with cGMP, cGDP, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must interpret engineering specs and read drawings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends; travel minimal.
• Must become Qualified Fellow Employee (QFE) and pass skills test.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance team in complex troubleshooting and improvements.
• Plan, install, and perform operational checkouts for equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior technicians.
• Prepare reports documenting modifications and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with production to minimize downtime.
• Source spare parts and services as needed.
• Follow cGMP/cGDP guidelines and SOPs.
