Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a Lead Person for maintenance to oversee up to 5 technicians, coordinate daily tasks, and drive mechanical projects. The role requires knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and welding systems, plus GMP and safety adherence.

The candidate should have strong teamwork skills, be able to read work orders, and perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months maintenance experience at American Foods Group.
• 5+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment or 5 years direct experience in such environment.
• Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, translate equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to 5 team members to perform daily tasks and paperwork.
• Implement mechanical and engineering projects.
• Ensure all daily PMs and paperwork are completed.
• Keep production lines in good mechanical order.
• Assist other teams (Production, Quality) when needed.
• Follow GMPs and safety practices.
• Set up machinery, inspect, test and tear down machines.
• Dismantle defective machines and install new parts.
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts.
• Maintain physical structures of the facility.
