Lead Maintenance Technician
Join our Maintenance team and play a key role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. As a maintenance lead, you'll provide hands‑on technical support while leading daily maintenance activities, mentoring technicians, and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment, leading by example, and making a direct impact on production, we'd love to hear from you.
- 12‑hour shifts, 3 days on & 4 days off rotation (not a swing shift)
- 10‑week rotation: Sunday‑Tuesday and Wednesday‑Friday
- Occasional overtime as needed

Compensation
- Hourly rate based on experience, role level, and applicable shift differential that aligns with your expertise and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team, assigning work based on production priorities.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to maintenance technicians.
- Communicate daily updates, project status, and critical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure clear communication and continuity.
- Perform and support mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment.
- Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long‑term corrective solutions.
- Complete preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain clean, organized maintenance workspaces and inventory areas.
- Ensure accurate parts inventory and work order documentation.
- Foster teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the maintenance department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow both written and oral English communication.
- Possess excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experienced in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Must be familiar with AC and DC circuits, low voltage through 480 V three‑phase power.
- Office software and computer navigation skills.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Effective team collaboration and communication
- Ability to use hands for 100% of work time (e.g., wrenches, screw drivers, drills, etc.) and reach above shoulders for 25% of work time.
- Ability to stand and walk for 75% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 25% of work time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of work time, up to 50 pounds or less 15% of work time and up to 75 pounds or less 15% of work time.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, or 20 feet or more and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift and perform bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching as needed.
- Frequently use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, with routine lifting up to 50 pounds.
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of electro‑mechanical maintenance experience, or 4+ years with an Associate's degree in Electro‑Mechanical Technology or a related field.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience working with AC/DC circuits and up to 480 V three‑phase power.
- Ability to lead small teams, support maintenance operations, and manage equipment‑related projects.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work overtime as needed.
