Job summary

Kerry in Melrose Park, just outside Chicago, is seeking a Maintenance Lead for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will collaborate with the maintenance team to repair, install, and troubleshoot equipment, while upholding GMP and safety standards in a fast-paced meat-division facility.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of maintenance mechanic experience in food manufacturing or bakery environments.
• High school diploma or GED; apprenticeship or relevant certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform building repairs, equipment installation and repairs.
• Fulfill work orders promptly while maintaining safety and GMP standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery including extruders, conveyors, and detectors.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental compliance.
