Job summary

Vista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking a Lead A&P Technician to supervise and mentor technicians in a Part 145 repair environment. You will lead inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on Citation 560/X, Challenger 300/350, and Bombardier Global series aircraft, ensuring FAA and customer standards are met.

You will coordinate daily workflow, manage resources, and drive quality and safety across a multi-hub operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of business jet maintenance experience on Citation 560/X, Challenger 300/350, and Bombardier Global series.
• At least 3+ years of leadership experience in an aviation environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station operations, and quality control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on target aircraft within a Part 145 Repair Station.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, repair station manuals, and customer requirements.
• Direct and mentor technicians, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex systems including avionics, hydraulics, structures, and engines.
• Review and approve work orders, log entries, and forms per regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate daily workflow, prioritize projects, and communicate progress to management.
• Ensure tooling and materials are properly used, calibrated, and maintained.
• Assist with internal audits, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Act as liaison, providing updates on status and technical findings.
• Promote strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead A&P Technician to support our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands‑on experience with Citation XL, Challenger 300/350, and Bombardier Global series aircraft.

This role requires ensuring all maintenance activities meet FAA, manufacturer, and company standards, while supervising and mentoring technicians in a structured repair station environment.

Vista Aircraft Maintenance is the in‑house maintenance provider for the Vista Members’ fleet, which comprises an unrivalled fleet of light, super mid‑size, long‑range and ultra‑long‑range aircraft. Vista Aircraft Maintenance has multiple maintenance hubs strategically located across the U.S. and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on Citation 560/X, Challenger 300/350, and Bombardier Global aircraft within a Part 145 Repair Station.
• Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with FAA regulations, repair station manuals, and customer requirements.
• Direct, mentor, and assist technicians, ensuring tasks are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot complex systems including avionics, hydraulics, structures, and engines, providing technical expertise and solutions.
• Review and approve work order documentation, log entries, and forms in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate daily workflow, prioritize projects, and communicate progress to the Accountable Manager and management team.
• Ensure tooling, equipment, and materials are properly used, maintained, and calibrated per repair station requirements.
• Assist with internal audits, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Act as a liaison when needed, providing updates on project status and technical findings.
• Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to continuous improvement processes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of business jet maintenance experience, with expertise on Citation 560/X, Challenger 300/350, and Bombardier Global series aircraft.
• At least 3+ years of leadership experience in an aviation environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station operations, and quality control requirements.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Corridor, Traxxall, or equivalent).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on‑call duty, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Factory or OEM training on Citation, Challenger, or Global aircraft.
• Previous leadership experience in a Repair Station or corporate aviation setting.
• Extensive background in Part 135 and/or Part 145 operations.
