Primary Purpose
The Lead Maintenance Technician is vital in delivering our high-quality products, new product development, and customer service. This role is responsible for manufacturing support, diagnosing problems, and implementing corrective actions. It requires minimal supervision and provides direct support for internal customers, impacting overall team satisfaction. The role supports continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity goals, working cross-functionally across Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for production equipment and processes
- Diagnosing technical problems and determining corrective actions
- Developing maintenance processes and documentation
- Performing planned and unplanned maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Supporting the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Delivering training for manufacturing operations and processes
- Considering ergonomic factors
- Collaborating across functions
- Performing computer data entry and work order transactions
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance
- Lock-out / Tag-out knowledge
- Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control experience
- Ability to work with diverse disciplines
- Manufacturing and production experience
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment and steel fabrication (laser cutting, robotic welding, manual welding, punch presses, CNC saws, etc.)
- Systematic thinking and system modification skills
- Effective communication skills
- Experience with CMMS applications (e.g., MaintainX)
- Analytical skills for data visualization and storytelling
- Initiative and problem-solving mindset
- Critical thinking and judgment
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Education:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Post-secondary education preferred
- OSHA 30 certification desired
- Technical certifications and memberships (e.g., Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician, International Maintenance Institute) are a plus
