Pay: Based on Experience
Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes that are continually being improved to satisfy our customers’ needs.
Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair. Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction. Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine best means to maintain all equipment in all buildings.
Dismantles machine or equipment, using hand tools or power tools, to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools. May weld parts, using arc or gas welding equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Must coordinate time with supervisors to complete.
Communicate with all internal departments, outside vendors, manufacturers, and sales representatives in the coordination of obtaining parts and making repairs. Use Maintenance Pro software to satisfy requests, run schedules for routine maintenance needed, and to log production, repair, and machine maintenance information. May assist Production Manager or other Supervisors in other duties or special projects as needed.
This particular position requires the individual to have a technical certification in electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulics from a technical college or program; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with 480 volt 3 phase circuits dealing with electrical supply and manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred. Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
