APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a Lead Maintenance Technician to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to oversee and perform maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment. Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like :

• Supervise maintenance operations and delegate tasks to technicians as necessary
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for all machinery and facility systems
• Monitor and evaluate the work of external contractors to ensure quality standards
• Maintain detailed documentation of work orders, inventory, and maintenance activities
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and enhance equipment performance

What we are looking for :

• High school diploma or GED; technical certifications highly desirable
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proven expertise in automated manufacturing systems and maintenance leadership
• Deep knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Hands-on experience with bearings, conveyors, presses, thermocouples, and tooling
• Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting skills; prior lead or senior technician experience preferred
