Qualifications

Brief Description

We're Hiring! Looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for training and overseeing the daily activities of the Maintenance Technician staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Allocate work and provide technical direction, assistance, and training to staff.
  2. Ensure SOPs, DOT, OSHA, and other requirements are met; recommend improvements for SOPs.
  3. Train employees on plant operations, repair techniques, SOPs, and safety practices.
  4. Monitor and review staff work, providing coaching and improvement suggestions.
  5. Perform advanced repairs on pumps, motors, electrical panels, and treatment equipment.
  6. Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  7. Prepare maintenance schedules for equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  8. Maintain records of work orders and tasks.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
  10. Be willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency on-call.
  11. Maintain positive customer relations.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred); other licenses like HVAC, CSI, Crane, Forklift, Rigging, Metal Cutting as per site requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of automotive mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pump and motor repair, hazard material handling, proficiency in Microsoft applications, internet, and CMMS systems.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication, teamwork, receptiveness to feedback, promoting diversity and respect, constructive discussion.
  • Problem Solving & Quality: Attention to detail, complex issue resolution, big-picture thinking, innovative solutions.
  • Managing for Results: Policy adherence, delegation, prioritization, effective feedback, cost and quality management.
  • Leadership & Initiative: Motivating others, accountability, leadership development, training, coaching, embracing change.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift 50-60 pounds frequently, load/unload equipment, access confined spaces, walk, climb stairs and ladders.
