Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking a field-based HVAC/R technician for the Greater Atlanta Area. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems, troubleshoot across sites, and support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation.

This role includes regular travel to multiple sites and on-site inspections. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HVAC/R experience, rooftop unit and ventilation knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, ventilation, or refrigeration (Walk-Ins).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• EPA HVAC Universal certification or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities (preferred).
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems (preferred).

What you’ll do

HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites
• Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems

Facility Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater Atlanta Area
• Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work

System Performance & Troubleshooting

• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues
• Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors
• Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance

New Site Support

• Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality
• Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions

What your week looks like

• 70% hands‑on HVAC/R maintenance & repair
• 20% troubleshooting & diagnostics (onsite + remote)
• 10% inspections, reporting, and system verification

What we’re looking for

Required

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
• Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration(Walk-Ins)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally

Preferred

• HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent)
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi‑site facilities
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field‑based role across the Greater Atlanta Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• Monday–Friday schedule with on‑call rotation and overtime opportunities
