We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. This role involves hands-on skilled work in various trades. You will assist in daily scheduling, oversee work quality, and ensure safety standards are met across our manufacturing facility.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide training, direction, and work guidance while performing skilled trades work
• Support supervisor in planning workload and identifying supply/equipment needs
• Monitor performance, provide input for reviews, and address technical or personnel issues
• Perform a wide range of skilled tasks in maintenance and repair of facility and equipment
• Coordinate and complete assigned tasks, reporting any issues to manager immediately
• Implement preventative maintenance procedures throughout the facility
• Perform skilled work in areas including:
• Plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, electrical
• Welding, lubrication, powder coating, silk screening
• Clutch/brake systems, machine guard mounting, framing
• Vehicle repair, forklift operation, flatbed plotter troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety codes and regulations Operate equipment such as saws, drill presses, presses, welding tools, plotters, and more
• Assist in purchasing, installing, maintaining, and repairing facility equipment
• Maintain records of labor, materials, and work orders
• Support janitorial staff as needed Keep work area clean and organized; maintain regular attendance
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong background in at least one skilled trade: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc.
• Ability to schedule, lay out, and assign work efficiently
• Knowledge of health/safety standards, building codes, and maintenance procedures
• Experience operating trade tools and storing materials properly
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and train others
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
• Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 75 lbs
• Exposure to moving machinery, temperature changes, dust, fumes, and chemicals
