Job summary

The role involves supervising maintenance of HVAC/R systems, coordinating projects, ensuring safety codes are followed, and reporting progress to higher-level supervisors. Strong leadership and system knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years NYS service in maintenance/engineering in SG-9 or higher with trades experience.
• OR 5 years full-time maintenance with building/mechanical trades and 2+ years supervision.
• Must be at least 18, HS diploma/GED, able to read/write English, and lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid NY driver’s license; willing to obtain/maintain required trainings for data systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and provide technical direction to a mixed trades crew.
• Review job orders, blueprints, and visit sites to estimate materials.
• Assign staff and provide instructions; coordinate schedules to meet deadlines.
• Inspect progress and ensure codes and safety standards are followed.
• Maintain records of work, costs, and inventory; assist with budget projections.
• Oversee purchasing and travel records in SFS and related systems.
