Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification, trade school, or some college preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with 1+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and HVAC systems; PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, schedule, and develop a team of technicians.
• Experience with a CMMS required (EMaint preferred).
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and reliability best practices.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and measuring instruments.
• Microsoft Office skills required; intermediate preferred.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and assign the daily work of maintenance technicians, balancing preventative maintenance, work orders, and breakdown response to meet production needs.
• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and hands-on training to technicians; identify skill gaps and coordinate development opportunities.
• Monitor technician performance and workloads, provide recognition, address performance issues, and recommend disciplinary action as needed in accordance with company policy.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of maintenance staff.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate safety, quality, priorities, and departmental initiatives.
• Serve as back-up for the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Lead and participate in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of production and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, HVAC, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Own the site's preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, ensuring PMs are completed on time and to standard.
• Develop and implement sustainable, long-term solutions to recurring equipment reliability issues.
• Ensure work orders are executed, documented, and closed out accurately in the CMMS.
• Coordinate equipment installations, startups, and shutdowns with production to minimize disruption.
• Support capital projects and equipment upgrades; evaluate and help test new technology and methods.
