Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Clinton, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support a team of maintenance technicians in preventive maintenance and quick resolution of unscheduled work orders. You will train, coach and diagnose operating issues across manufacturing machinery and facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC and carpentry.

You will work with PLC and CNC wiring and programming, use blueprints and test equipment, and promote safety

Qualifications

• Successful supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Safety-first, proactive approach to equipment and facility maintenance.
• High level of understanding diagnosing PLC/CNC or VFD programming.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians to complete all scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled work orders efficiently.
• Teach, train, coach and lead maintenance technicians to achieve tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve operating problems in manufacturing machinery, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related systems.
• Use blueprints, schematics, tools and test equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Lay out, build, test and repair production components, switch panels and electronic equipment.
• Wiring and programming of electronics and control boxes with PLC and CNC programming.
• Perform equipment repairs on computer-controlled equipment and participate in safety initiatives.
