Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a Lead Maintenance for The Bowie, our multifamily community. This full-time, on-site role supports day-to-day maintenance operations and collaborates with the Property Manager to keep the property safe and well-maintained.

You will supervise technicians, prioritize work orders, handle basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC issues, perform inspections, and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams and supervising technicians.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including basic plumbing and electrical.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and manage on-site tasks.
• Excellent communication and safety compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support maintenance technicians
• Delegate maintenance tasks and prioritize work orders and available resources
• Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the property
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance issues
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure work orders are completed efficiently and accurately
• Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, tools and equipment
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized maintenance or repairs are needed
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the property's on-call rotation
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Help maintain the condition and appearance of buildings, common areas and property grounds
• Identify maintenance concerns and address issues before they become larger problems
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable safety and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and other required documentation
• Communicate maintenance concerns and property needs to the Property Manager
• Support the onsite team in providing professional and timely service to residents
