Job summary

Building and Land Technology (BLT) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a premier luxury apartment community in Jersey City. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership, focusing on resident service and high standards for building systems and amenities.

You will supervise technicians, manage work orders, and coordinate preventative maintenance while ensuring safety policies and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or multifamily maintenance experience.
• Previous supervisory or lead maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Carpentry and general building maintenance skills.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair building systems independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations for a 1,100+ unit luxury community.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across property assets.
• Prioritize and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop maintenance technicians; support turnover activities.
• Oversee apartment make-readies and turnovers; coordinate safety and schedule compliance.
