Lead Maintenance Supervisor – Automated Cold Storage

Job summary

NewCold is expanding its warehouse operations in the United States, Indiana region, and seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and sanitation team on site, ensuring reliable operation of conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and related equipment.

You will lead preventative maintenance, coordinate with suppliers, provide training, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across the maintenance function.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of maintenance experience.
• 1–2 years of team lead or supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of automated machinery (conveyors, automated cranes, palletizers, trolleys).
• Electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is used and maintained in line with supplier’s guidelines.
• Create and plan Preventative Maintenance tasks or repairs to be carried out in a timely and safe manner, minimizing disruption to the operation.
• Work within budgeted guidelines, and achieving agreed KPIs.
• Follow maintenance plan in the most efficient way to ensure minimal impact on the operation.
• Direct and lead sanitation team to maintain site cleanliness and appearance.
• Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Work closely with equipment suppliers and /or contractors to ensure proper training of maintenance technicians.
• Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by Site manager.
• Develop a understanding of all equipment and contracts on site including cooling systems, oxygen reduction, doors etc.
• Commit to ongoing self and team development through internal and external resources.
• Meet the physical demands of the Maintenance and Operator team roles.
• All other duties as assigned.
