Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Specialist to lead troubleshooting and repair of production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This on-site role reports to the Maintenance Lead and focuses on reducing downtime through proactive maintenance and quick, safe responses to breakdowns.

You will inspect components, support PMs, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety protocols, PPE, and proper use of equipment like

Qualifications

Broad knowledge of mechanical components (valves, fittings, belts, gears, bearings).
Ability to read schematics and mechanical prints.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and operate forklifts safely.
Experience with CNC milling, saws and flame cutting equipment or willingness to learn.
Strong safety awareness and compliance with LOTO and PPE.

Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
Perform scheduled and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure timely completion.
Review maintenance procedures and suggest improvements.
Mentor junior technicians and support hands-on tasks.
Ensure safe equipment operation and PPE compliance.
