Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to lead a technical team in a manufacturing plant. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment, and manage inventory and parts for efficient operation.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving and collaboration with multiple departments to sustain production and safety standards. On-site in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician.
• Experience with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
• Able to use both a MIG welder and ARC welder.
• Able to order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance materials.
• Ability to use a lathe and milling machine is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems: Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, etc.
• Experience with Automation; PLC; Instrumentation; Robotic applications; Bulk handling.
• Proficiency in Facility Maintenance (Roof, Dock, Plumbing) and Plant Equipment.
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource-prioritization skills.
• Computer savviness; practical MS Office knowledge.
• Safety-oriented leadership with a positive can-do attitude.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Be a safety leader and enforce safety/environment rules.
• Lead team and coach staff to improve performance.
• Participate in safety investigations as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify root causes.
• Oversee maintenance to improve production availability.
• Execute daily/weekly work schedules to meet deadlines.
• Analyze delay codes to reduce schedule slippages.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and repair histories are documented.
• Source and requisition maintenance supplies within budget.
• Use KPIs to improve maintenance execution.
• Ensure compliance with policies, H&S programs, and security.
