Job summary

Dart Container is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to oversee maintenance on production and facility equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration across shifts to meet output goals.

The ideal candidate brings leadership, hands-on maintenance skills, and strong problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in SAP, pneumatics, hydraulics, and blueprints. Strong communication and planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team coordination skills
• Proficient with hand-tools and power-tools; able to read blueprints and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities
• Experience with SAP and manufacturing maintenance software is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and basic reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance on production/facility equipment and assist as needed
• Maintain shift safety, quality, and production KPIs on floor
• Audit and improve equipment reliability using lean methods
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Create and deliver maintenance reports and workload planning
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure resources meet schedules
• Operate and maintain PIT equipment and safety certifications
• Troubleshoot complex control systems and hydraulic/pneumatic issues
