Job summary

Mestek, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to install, repair and maintain machinery and equipment across our manufacturing floor. You will perform preventive maintenance, run diagnostics, and address mechanical issues to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, electrical experience, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Lifting up to 40 lbs and repetitive motions are expected; safety rules must be observed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Four years experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Electrical experience a must.
• Must have strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must have a lift up to 40 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to do repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.
• Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
• Repair broken or faulty machine parts.
• Perform emergency repairs.
• Orders materials needed for repairs etc
• Works independently regularly
• Detects and reports defective and unsafe equipment and materials as well as unusual situations to supervisor
• Observes and obeys all safety rules, practices, and procedures
• Wears and employs personal protective equipment as required
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
• Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
• Regular attendance is always an essential function

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a variety of tasks including electrical work, building repair, machinery repair, and rooftop repair
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment. Responsibilities also include building and maintaining mechanical systems and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools, and testing equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.
• Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
• Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
• Repair broken or faulty machine parts.

• Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.
