Job summary

Bowie State University is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Lead to oversee semi-skilled and skilled maintenance across campus facilities. The role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and minor construction tasks while coordinating work activities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of related maintenance or construction experience, and 3+ years in a related trade. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and read specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Four (4) years of related maintenance or construction experience.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a related trade area.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work independently.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, plans, and service documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on building systems and structural components.
