Job summary

RRD in Smyrna, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Army Maintenance Supervisor to maintain production equipment and perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on presses, die cutters, conveyors, and related machinery. This 1st shift role requires precise adjustments, alignment checks, and diagnostic skills to minimize downtime.

You will train and mentor peers, uphold strict safety and quality standards, and collaborate with theProduction & Manufacturing department.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment and machine control systems to trace malfunctions across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic failures.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and schematics to isolate malfunctions.
• Experience with manufacturing replacement parts and tolerances.
• Strong mathematical ability for measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization’s production equipment.
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment—such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment.
• May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees, ensuring consistent knowledge of company policies, procedures, and best practices.
