Job summary

Plaza Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper to maintain the property's buildings, grounds, and common areas. The role involves repairs across plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and landscape tasks, as well as custodial duties to keep the site clean and attractive.

The job requires physical stamina, outdoor work in varying weather, and the ability to lift and move materials. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are needed; HVAC knowledge is a plus

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Previous experience in apartment maintenance.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and repair orders promptly.
• Make-ready apartments and other required tasks.
• HVAC-certified but not required.
• Estimate time and extent of repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain material and supply inventory.
• Oversee outside contractors as needed.
• Lawn mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and weed control.
• Repair sprinkler systems.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper to join our Team!

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, cleanliness, and functionality of the property’s buildings, grounds, and common areas. Repairs include building and renovation, make-ready apartments, plumbing, painting, sheetrock work, electrical, carpentry and landscape maintenance and other job duties as assigned. This position also requires the completion of custodial work as necessary, including cleaning and maintaining common areas and overall property appearance.

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. This is a physically demanding role that requires regular lifting, bending, walking, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
