Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Ft. Smith Maintenance Generalist: Lead General Maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly.

The role requires setting up, adjusting and breaking down line equipment, with knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission and pneumatics. SAP proficiency for work orders and daily logs is essential, along with willingness to learn and operate PIT equipment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of mechanical/maintenance work within the last 24 months, preferably industrial maintenance.
• Experience operating PIT or willingness to learn.
• Must be able to read and write and perform basic math for machinery related computations.

Responsibilities

• Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production.
• Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery as needed.
• Record work orders and daily activities in SAP; generate equipment history.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor.
