Job summary

The Faraway Company (Half Acre Beer Company x Maplewood Brewery and Distillery) seeks a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead upkeep, maintenance, and compliance for all company facilities. You will oversee a hands-on team and drive preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime at the Balmoral facility, with occasional visits to other Chicago locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years managing facility operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with asset management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team to ensure safety and efficiency of tasks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair brewery production equipment (brewhouse, packaging lines).
• Coordinate external contractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs and CMMS improvements.
• Prepare and manage department budget and equipment purchases.
