Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to supervise and optimize maintenance activities for manufacturing operations. The role requires leadership of staff, budget oversight, and coordination with quality and safety programs.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 6 years in manufacturing/engineering, and 2+ years in a management role, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Prior Medical Device experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management level role is preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries (Medical Device) preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities including confidence, transparency, integrity, innovation, passion, patience and tenacity.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Minitab, databases).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Results oriented with customer focus.
• Willing to support all production shifts.
• Problem solving methodology hands-on experience.
• Experience with Maximo Asset Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delegates and supervises work performed by staff.
• Establishes and manages work schedules; develops plans for maintenance activity execution.
• Supervises, mentors, develops, evaluates, and coaches staff.
• Implements performance improvement plans as needed.
• Provides input to and manages departmental budget; reviews expenses and implements cost controls.
• Obtains and evaluates bids from vendors.
• Oversees quality and safety of work and timely completion of tasks.
• Interprets company policies to staff and enforces safety regulation.
• Provides input to department policies and processes.
• Participates on special projects as needed.
• Monitors production and prepares reports for management; takes corrective action.
• Communicates business-related issues or opportunities to senior management.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
• Ensures subordinates follow guidelines and resources are available.
• Performs other duties as needed.
