Job summary

Pilgrim seeks a Lead Maintenance technician for 1st shift (4 am to 2 pm) to supervise repairs and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment. The role includes guiding junior staff, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring safety compliance.

The position offers hourly pay of $22.25 plus an attendance bonus of up to $2.75 per hour, with opportunities to grow within our maintenance team and support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
• Ability to read simple instructions and follow written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform simple machinist duties and use mechanical skills for repairs.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and handling equipment safely.
• Identify faulty operations and report to supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas; follow safety rules.
• Accept tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.

Job Title: Lead Maintenance 1 st Shift 1 st Processing (4 am to 2 pm)

Purpose & Scope: The Lead maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facility’s business goals and objectives. Oversees daily facility repairs, manages maintenance schedules, training, and provides technical guidance Including, installation, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of all equipment and machinery within the facility.

• 11. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• 12. Perform tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Prior experience in maintenancesystems or equivalent degree from a technical school or equivalent combination of educationand experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw andinterpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables instandardized situations.
