Job summary

State of Maryland’s OET invites applications for a Programmer Analyst Lead within the DMIS Claims Team. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing programming solutions for the MMIS-II system.

The incumbent will lead junior programmers, provide technical guidance, and ensure quality deliverables. Hybrid telework eligibility is offered; strong mainframe skills and state IT experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or other developmental tools.
• Experience with IBM z/OS mainframe application development and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Claims Team of the Division of Medicaid Information Systems (DMIS) in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing programming solutions for the MMIS-II system.
• Provide technical guidance and consultation; train and review work of lower-level IT Programmer Analysts.
