Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of mainframe network infrastructure within the Infrastructure Platforms & Mainframe Compute group.

You will lead a team of engineers, ensure high availability, and align strategies with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and security requirements. The role emphasizes governance, auditability, and collaboration across IT and security teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts.
• 15+ years of experience in mainframe network engineering with senior leadership exposure.
• Deep expertise in IBM z/OS, VTAM, TCP/IP, OSPF, SNA and network security.
• Strong packet-analysis and troubleshooting skills for mainframe networks.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale mainframe projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide mainframe network design, security, and performance initiatives.
• Mentor and develop a high-performance team of mainframe engineers.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity for mainframe networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for modernization and integration projects.
• Establish and enforce standards, compliance, and auditability across networks.
• Provide clear reporting to senior leadership on performance and risk.
