Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platforms and Mainframe Compute group in Columbus. You will apply deep technical knowledge to shape the future of our mainframe networks and performance.

You will lead a team, drive strategy, collaborate across teams, ensure security, resiliency, and regulatory compliance, and report on risks and initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years infrastructure engineering experience.
• Advanced TLS 1.3 security for mainframe networks.
• 15+ years in mainframe networking with leadership.
• Deep expertise in z/OS, VTAM, TCP/IP, OSPF, SNA and security.
• Strong packet analysis and troubleshooting in mainframe environments.
• Leadership and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and disaster recovery.
• Ability to drive innovation and adapt to evolving technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mainframe network engineers.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of mainframe network infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support modernization initiatives.
• Establish, document, and enforce best practices, standards and compliance.
• Provide reporting to senior leadership on performance and risks.
• Allocate resources and manage project timelines.
• Apply enterprise AI capabilities with validation and security focus.
• Drive forward mainframe network strategy and technologies.
• Review AI-assisted recommendations before changes.
