Job summary

FIS is seeking a seasoned software professional in Columbus, GA to contribute across the full SDLC. You will design, code, debug, and validate applications with a broad understanding of mainframe languages and architectures.

The role emphasizes collaboration across developers, analysts, and product owners within an Agile Scrum framework. The candidate should have 6+ years in coding, designing, and analyzing data, with experience in COBOL, IMS, and DB2, and familiarity with CICS.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field; 6+ years in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data.
• Experience with mainframe technologies including Cobol, IMS, DB2; knowledge of CICS is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC using Agile Scrum; design, develop, test and deliver software products.
• Create and deliver moderately complex program specifications for code development across multiple projects.
• Advise leadership on design and enforcement of standards to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
