Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to lead the technical development and implementation of data conversion programs for customer loan acquisition projects.

You will own coding of COBOL/JCL solutions, unit testing, and go-live support, working with analysts and managers on complex mapping specifications. This hands-on role requires strong problem-solving in fast-paced projects, running mainframe jobs, and delivering accurate data within MSP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent technical experience will be considered
• 4+ years of mainframe development, mortgage servicing technology, or data conversion programming
• Experience with MSP and mortgage servicing data structures
• Proficient in COBOL/JCL/VSAM in IBM z/OS environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit test mainframe COBOL programs and JCL for acquisition data conversion projects
• Own technical outcomes and code accuracy for all assigned conversion programs
• Complete development work within established timelines and escalate risks or blockers
• Analyze mapping specifications and translate into efficient COBOL programs and JCL
• Test, debug, and validate data conversions; ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders throughout testing and implementation
• Coordinate development across multiple concurrent projects and maintain documentation
