Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- 4+ years of mainframe development, mortgage servicing technology, or data conversion programming roles.
- Acquisition and/or system conversion development experience.
- Strong MSP data structures and processing knowledge.
- Proficient in COBOL, JCL, VSAM on IBM z/OS.
- Ability to solve complex issues with structured debugging and verification.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and unit test mainframe COBOL programs and JCL for acquisition data conversion projects.
- Own technical outcomes and ensure code accuracy across conversion programs.
- Escalate technical risks or blockers within project timelines.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate mapping specs into robust COBOL programs and JCL.
- Perform thorough unit testing, debugging, and regression validation.
