Job summary

Managed Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced machinist in the Los Angeles area to set up and operate complex machines, read blueprints with GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances. You will perform precise inspections and contribute to quality and process improvements.

The role requires 7+ years in machining, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and legal authorization to work in the United States. ITAR compliance and local residency within 50 miles of 90039 are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years experience in machining, honing or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• ITAR compliance: U.S. person required under ITAR regulations.
• No relocation benefit offered; reside within 50 miles of 90039 for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines for complex parts with minimal supervision to meet production targets.
• Interpret plans, work orders, blueprints or drawings and GD&T requirements to determine work scope.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, air gauges and comparators to ensure tolerance.
• Finish parts with various materials to close tolerances per specifications.
• Examine surface and dimensions for defects before starting work.
• Maintain production and quality requirements and keep work area clean.
• Adjust machining feeds/speeds and select tools as needed for different materials.
• Use measuring tools to verify part quality and accuracy of dimensions.
• Replace worn tools, inspect parts and adjust offsets as necessary.
• Be a team player and strictly follow safety rules and regulations.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements.
