Job summary

Baxter in Batesville, AR is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and set up a variety of CNC and manual machines, ensuring parts meet blueprints and specifications. You will read calipers and micrometers, adjust tooling, and maintain safe, efficient production.

You will work with experienced machinists and engineers, participate in problem solving, perform preventative maintenance, and help with scheduling and material handling. The role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must read calipers, micrometer and blueprints to spec parts.
• Must be able to perform machine set-up tasks and adjust tooling.
• Must pass Baxter’s Machine Set-Up Test and demonstrate safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up a range of machinery (CNC and manual).
• Mount and adjust cutting tools and tooling per drawings.
• Set feeds and speeds to produce quality parts consistently.
• Program, create and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed.
• Document quality checks and follow procedures for production scheduling.
