Job summary

Sabre Industries seeks a Lead Production employee to oversee daily tasks, train staff, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. You will use the Epicor/Vantage MES system, read blueprints, and coordinate with the supervisor to meet ship dates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must read blue prints and visually inspect shafts and hardware.
• Must learn how to use Epicor/Vantage to report data and schedules.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and delegate daily tasks to production employees.
• Supervise duties to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Prepare proper training for production employees as needed.
• Check housekeeping and maintain area cleanliness.
• Use Outlook to communicate within and outside the department.
• Operate materials handling equipment and read blue prints.
• Assist in implementing the master plan to meet goals/dates.
• Ensure machinery and tools are in good working order.
• Follow company policies and produce a quality product.
• Assign work to meet priorities and assist with overtime decisions.
• Observe and document employee performance for the supervisor.
• Assist in conducting employee evaluations and safety meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned.
