Job summary

Carson City Community Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced licensed practical nurse (LPN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) supervisor to provide direct resident care and oversee day-to-day nursing activities in a long-term care facility.

You will direct nursing assistants, ensure policy and regulation compliance, participate in quality assurance, and contribute to discharge planning and resident care improvements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.

Responsibilities

• Inform nursing personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc.
• Ensure that rooms are ready for new admissions.
• Greet newly admitted residents upon admission and escort them to their rooms as necessary.
• Participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the facility.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary.
• Review care plans daily to ensure appropriate care is rendered.
• Inform the Nurse Supervisor of changes that need to be made on the care plan.
• Carry out restorative and rehabilitative programs, to include self-help and care.
