Job summary

Glisan SNF Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Full-Time nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and assist the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor in delivering quality resident care.

The role includes directing daily nursing operations, maintaining policies, planning shifts, and participating in QA and discharge planning to support high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with staff.
• Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Periodically review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc. Recommend revisions.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts, services, and activities.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff compliance with it.
• Provide reports/recommendations on shift activities as required.
• Coordinate with other resident services to ensure total care.
• Participate in development and maintenance of the facility’s QA program.
• Assist in planning the resident discharge plan as necessary.
• Interpret policies to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Write resident charge slips and forward to Business Office.
• Maintain the Daily Census Report for the Business Office.
